I loved reading this and getting more ideas for fillers!! I just wanted to tell you that I found putting a glass of water in the microwave when heating helps! Alot... You wont dry out the rice or beans, whatever you fill with, as fast. Also you can use a spray bottle to mist them down before you heat them. If you prefer a really moist, moist heat. It's the BEST!!! I just use mens long tube socks. I love being able to make a small or a large out of a simple sock! I simply tie the sock in a knot. When time to replace filling its so so easy, just untie it & refill. Throw it in the laundry from time to time, so simple is what I love! Oh, also when you are not using them if you keep them in a ziplock bag they wont dry out so fast either. Just thought I would share with you in hopes that maybe I could help you out as your information did me. Thanks Alot!!! =)

You can get the corn from a feed store. Usually comes in a 50 lb bag for about $10.00. I got mine from Southern States.

Got a corn bag from a co worker who makes them for a local chiropractor. I gave it to my husband to use to help him recover from neuro surgery through the front and back of his neck fusing disks 3 through 7 in Nov., 2010. He uses it at least 6 plus times a day. We micro wave for 3 minutes and it brings relief to the pain in the back of his neck. Fabulous cheap relief mechanism even when used on other parts of an aching body. We truly recommend them. We had a house fire in May, 2011 and lost both of his corn bags. Those were the first things we replaced after the fire to make sure he could continue recouperating from his neuro surgery.
